Joe Robson RIP

Unfortunately, one of Internet marketings great copy writing legends has passed away, on 1st January 2010.

Joe Robson

Joe Robson "Keep Smilin"

Being a personal friend of mine, I feel the loss, but his legacy will live on…

Joe Robson, was a successful car salesman in his pre-online days, with 3 dealerships in the 1970′s, culminating into a very successful car sales business in the 1990′s, he then turned Internet marketer, and successful copywriter, way back in the late 1990′s.

He was catapulted to success online when he penned the evergreen Make Your Words Sell, Joe wrote the book, with his JV partner at the time, Ken Evoy, Ken added his content by way of commenting, but the ebook was written by Joe, and not many people know this, but it took 8 months and 3 re-writes before he was happy to release it.

Joe Robson became an overnight success story, and was now a well respected master Internet copywriter, he was the latest IM guru of the day, and he never looked back.

Joe’s first love was his newbie club, where thousands of struggling newbies have been led by the hand, and educated to a level whereby they can stand alone, and take on the challenges of the Internet.  Formed in 2000, and still around today, and Joe was always putting together his dream of the next incarnation of the newbieclub, newbieclub3, and worked tirelessly towards his goal.

With a subscriber base nearing 100,000, the newbie club, and several successful products behind him, Joe was at the forefront of both copywriting, and Internet marketing.

Sadly Joe was stricken by illness, in early 2008, that he never fully recovered from.

After a stay in hospital, Joe could sense the dangers ahead, and he apprenticed his son Steve into the world of Internet marketing. Steve will continue to run his fathers empire, and maybe, one day, his own copywriting skills may match Joe’s, lets hope so.

  • I have been a member of the Newbie Club for years, Joe taught this old Lady everything I know about the Computer (just enough to keep in touch with my Children and Grandchildren while wintering in Florida).
I did know about Joe’s illness , but had no idea why I wasn’t receiving the Newbie Newsletter. I just decided now to find the Newbie Club again.
Please accept my sincere condolences , I feel like I lost a real friend.

Thanks Elizabeth, I’m afraid that Joe left a big hole in many peoples lives when he passed.

It is with great regret that I have heard his wife passed away last month too, Joe was her life, and soul.

Steve is doing what he can with the newbie club, but he had so little time to pick up a lifetimes work from his father, it will never be the same again.

    On the road again Joe.
